I always wanted to dance. The style was not important, just one thing: to dance. When I arrived at the dance school my first day, a door opened that never closed again. The studios were called “Danza Española” and they had so many subjects you could study: ballet, escuela bolera, danza estilizada, flamenco…. That was the same for me as Disneyworld was for other kids.
But it was only much later, after many years of dancing, that the depth of flamenco caught my attention: the way this music, the Cante Flamenco (flamenco song), turns your guts upside down is indescribable; and to translate this sensation to the body through movement is an adventure.
